Gorgeous Pacific City, Oregon Intimate Wedding at Cape Kiwanda
Ari and Nat were bubbling with joy during their wedding day in Pacific City, Oregon. They rented a beach house along the coast where they had a small, intimate wedding surrounded by their closest loved ones. It was an absolutely incredible and magical day. A day I will cherish always and another reminder of how grateful I am to be an Oregon elopement photographer.
We started their wedding day with some getting ready photos at the beach house before heading across the street to Ari’s family house for a first look. The house was situated right along the Nestucca River, which was the perfect backdrop for their first look photos. It was such a sweet moment and even their adorable pup joined in on the fun!
After their first look, we stopped back at the beach house to visit with their family before heading out to the beach for their wedding ceremony. The ceremony took place right in front of the beach house with a wooden arch dressed in the most gorgeous flower arrangement and the ocean as their backdrop. After the ceremony, Ari and Nat shared a first dance in the living room. You could feel the happiness radiating off them in that moment—it was such a joy to be a part of.
I especially loved all the thoughtful and sentimental touches they incorporated throughout their wedding day. They honored family members that had passed with an old family painting and a Boston Red Sox jacket. They used special glasses to toast their champagne and they even cut a special cheese that they had in their fridge for 15 years. It was such a unique touch and the cheese was actually delicious all those years later!

Eloping in Pacific City, Oregon
The Oregon Coast is such a dreamy place for an elopement and Pacific City is a perfect spot. Not only is the scenery amazing with its pristine beaches and dramatic sea stacks, but it’s also conveniently located just two hours southwest of Portland.
Pacific City is also home to Cape Kiwanda, a natural state area with impressive sand dunes and towering sandstone cliffs. The area is part of the Three Capes Scenic Drive, a 40-mile long drive along the Oregon Coast that takes you past Cape Meres, Cape Lookout, and Cape Kiwanda. Cape Kiwanda’s unique rock formations with their rich colors and textures set it apart from the typical ruggedness of the Oregon Coast’s basalt sea stacks and cliffs. Cape Kiwanda really is a magical place for an elopement and I highly recommend it if you’re looking to elope on the Oregon Coast!

After their first dance and cutting the cheese, we headed to Cape Kiwanda to explore and take some couples photos. It was so fun and carefree. We frolicked around the beach, popped some champagne, and witnessed an absolutely incredible sunset. Their elopement day was so wonderful and I just felt pure joy so many times throughout the day. To end the day, they had a nice dinner with their family. It was such a beautiful Oregon Coast elopement and I left feeling so grateful that I was able to be a part of their special day!!
