I’ve always wanted to shoot an elopement at Heceta Head Lighthouse beach and these two made my dream come true! Aisha and Shane live in Eugene, Oregon and recently got engaged, so we decided to set up a mini styled wedding shoot to celebrate their love for each other on the majestic Oregon Coast. This location can be popular with visitors but it has a long stretch of beach and little corners to explore so it doesn’t feel crowded. We ran around like little kids, laughed until our cheeks hurt, and talked about their wedding where they’ll be camping with family and friends at their home this summer. I absolutely adore sharing these moments with my clients (a.k.a. friends). Thank you for spending the evening with me and sharing your love, Aisha and Shane! I love being an Oregon wedding photographer. It really is a blessing.
Check out my recent blog post “The 5 Best Locations to Elope in Oregon” for more information about eloping on the Oregon Coast! There are a lot of campgrounds sprinkled along the coast and a plethora of unique yurts and cabins to stay in. I always recommend creating a fun experience around your elopement. Envision your perfect day together. Where would you be staying? What would you be doing? Camping among the fir trees and pouring a hot cup of coffee while admiring the ocean views? Taking a stroll along the beach, morning yoga, or making brekkie together next to the campfire? These are just a few ideas on how you can create an elopement experience that you will cherish for the rest of your lives. An experience that will deepen your relationship with each other and the earth.
I’m heading to Oregon in June and will be adventuring around the Pacific Northwest through fall, so definitely contact me if you’re planning a beach elopement or intimate wedding this year! I’ll be heading back to Maui for winter in December, so snag a spot with me while I’m on the mainland! You can check out my travel schedule for more deets!
