Intimate Maui Wedding at Ironwoods Beach in Kapalua, Hawaii

Oh what a year it’s been! I photographed this intimate Maui wedding at Ironwoods Beach early spring. It was one of my favorite moments of this crazy year. I walked away with new friends and so much gratitude for this photography career.  I love being a Maui elopement photographer so much! It’s a dream come true.

Meg and Trevor wanted a simple, laid back wedding day with their family. We started the day with getting ready photos at their condo in Ka’anapali, Hawaii. This is one of my favorite parts of the day to photograph. The sweet moments putting on the dress with Mom and the last minute hair and makeup adjustments in the mirror. After Meg finished getting ready we went outside and did a first look with Trevor. It’s always so heartwarming witnessing the first look between my couples. Capturing the entire elopement day is such a great way to tell the story, so you can remember all the little moments throughout the day.

After we did getting ready photos and a first look at their hotel we headed to Ironwoods Beach for their ceremony.  The conditions were perfect and we had the beach all to ourselves.  Ironwoods is such a great location for small weddings.  There is plenty of room for the kiddos to run around and rugged beauty.  There are a variety of backdrops including a sandy beach, dramatic cliffside views, and some of the best sunsets on the island.  It’s definitely one of my favorites for Hawaii elopements!
