Intimate Oregon Coast Wedding at Hug Point

Iliana and Hunter wanted to have an intimate beach wedding on the Oregon coast with their family and close friends. They rented a radddd beach house right on the ocean in Arch Cape called Casa Pacifica. It was a perfect spot to celebrate with loved ones and enjoy the magic of the Oregon coast. It’s close to Hug Point and Cannon Beach which is a great location to enjoy all that the area offers. I’m so grateful to be an Oregon elopement photographer and be a part of these special days with my couples! I love all the little touches they incorporated throughout the day that were special to them. That’s one of my favorite aspects of elopements. Being able to do whatever you want in a way that is special to you and your vision!

It was a pretty chill day on the beach at Hug Point with barely anyone around, which is kind of rare for September. But we also made sure to schedule their intimate wedding on a weekday so there were less crowds. We explored the waterfall, caves, and even had an eagle soaring above us during the ceremony and while we were capturing their couple’s photos. Eagles are so special and are always a beautiful omen in the Pacific Northwest.

After getting ready photos and a first look we headed to the beach for their intimate wedding ceremony at Hug point. Hug Point is one of my favorite locations on the northern Oregon coast. It offers a lot of variety and isn’t as busy as Haystack Rock near Cannon Beach. It was a sweet ceremony with their family and close friends and their puppy dog! We all laughed and cried a lotttttt. I just love the waves of emotions that happen throughout a wedding day. It’s such a special, sacred space and I’m honored to be a part of it.

After their ceremony with their family and friends we ran around the beach with just the two of them for some quiet moments together. It’s so important to allow yourselves some alone time when having a small wedding with family and friends. It gives you time to connect with each other and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Then it was time for an intimate reception with their loved ones back at the beach house. Yummy food, drinks, and magical twinkly lights was waiting for the sweet couple. A perfect way to end their wedding day!
