Surprise Engagement Proposal in Wailea, Hawaii | Maui Wedding Photographer
When Eliott emailed me to plan a surprise beach proposal for his girl Alexandra I knew it was going to be a fun session. I had such a great feeling about him after chatting on the phone and seeing their photos together. I love getting to know my clients personally before connecting for the photo session. I’ve found it’s super important that we develop a connection so that I can dig deep into who you are and capture the best photos possible!
He wanted to surprise her while they were vacationing on Maui, so I waited on the beach with my camera ready and shot the moment paparazzi style! I love conspiring with the dudes to surprise their women during Hawaii engagement sessions. It’s so fun to plan it out and see the shock on their faces. Everyone on the beach cheered and it was such a fun experience to be a part of. Alexandra was sooooo happy. Literally jumping up and down with joy after he proposed! It was amazing. She knew the proposal was coming soon, but she didn’t suspect it was happening on this day. There is such an electric energy of excitement after proposals…it makes the Maui portrait session so fun!
This was my last Hawaii engagement session of 2019 and man it was such a great way to end the year. Feeling mega grateful to be a part of these special moments. Thank you so much to all of you that trust me to capture your memories on Maui, Oregon, California, and wherever you want to take me!
